Business Networking & UniFi Wi‑Fi in South Africa

Design, deploy, and manage networks that stay stable under real load — UniFi ecosystems, PFsense firewalls, RADIUS authentication, and site-to-site connectivity.

Networks that scale without drama

Fast internet alone does not keep operations reliable. Segmentation, clean routing, solid Wi‑Fi design, and managed firewalls do. ECOMX builds and supports business networks for offices, hospitality, multi-site organisations, and growing teams across South Africa.

We specialise in Ubiquiti UniFi deployments with centralised visibility, PFsense edge security, and enterprise wireless authentication where you need stronger access control.

UniFi Wi‑Fi & switching

Controller-managed APs, switches, and gateways with consistent SSIDs and policy across sites.

PFsense firewalls

Routing, VPN, and filtering designed for production traffic — not a consumer box with business stickers.

RADIUS & 802.1X

Stronger wireless and wired authentication for guest, staff, and device segmentation.

Enterprise Networking

From site surveys to multi-branch UniFi estates — built for uptime and manageable support.

How we approach network projects

Clear assessment, deliberate design, then controlled rollout — so cutovers don’t become outages.

Assess & survey

Understand coverage gaps, VLAN mess, and choke points before buying more hardware.

Design for traffic

Separate guest, staff, cameras, and POS where needed; plan channels and capacity properly.

Deploy & harden

Install, configure, document, and hand over a network your team can actually support.

Monitor & improve

Ongoing visibility into AP health, interference, and performance so issues stay small.

Before you buy access points

Is it UniFi or nothing?

UniFi is what we install most often, because one controller is easier to live with across a hotel or a few offices. A four-person office sometimes needs two access points and a firewall, not a rack. We will say which after we see the building.

Do you still walk the site?

Yes. The controller will draw a map. It will not notice a stone wall at a lodge or a metal roof in a warehouse. A site survey is a person with a laptop.

Which office?

Nieuw Muckleneuk on 012 346 0525, Sandown on 010 011 2372. Guest Wi-Fi, staff and cameras should already be separate networks before anyone argues about the brand of access point.
